Seaweed quilt and orange patience

This is a little wall hanging I made some years ago.  More green and blue and yellow.  Definitely a colour theme emerging here.Image

This was my first foray into raw edge appliqué.  I quite like the effect, but never did much more.  Maybe one day.

Just to show that I dont always use blue and green, here is a VERY orange piece of knitting that I am doing.   The lad is in an orange phase, and this is the back of a cushion for him.  Rows and rows of b o r i n g stocking stitch.

Seriously, I cant tell you how much I dont like just going back and forth with plain knitting.  That’s why I did the back first.  Sneaky yes?  I knew I would never go back and do it after a fun front.  So now I have finished it and am starting on the front.  It will be crochet, and patterned.  Just orange of course, but something different.

Oh, this photo is at a friends house, not a bad view hey?

  1. Just searching on some quilt color schemes for a quilt I am making for my daughter’s elementary school and came to your site. I had to do a double-take when I saw that view! Oh my goodness, the blues of the sky and mountains are so distinct, it looks like a quilt. Where on earth is this? Thank you for posting!
