Mosaic Colours

Thanks to Cloud Cou Cou I discovered this great tool, the Mosaic Maker.  I had a lot of fun playing with the colours, and fabrics.  Nothing like being able to pretend you actually have all those fabrics in your stash.  Like a virtual stash.  How cool.  So I made two mosaics contrasting warm and cool, like the instructions on Stitched in Color.

The first is warm greys/taupes with green.  Green is my favourite colour and I liked the challenge of using grey as a warm colour rather than cool.

ImageI really like this, and might use these colours in a quilt.

Then I went for the classic red, vs blue/grey.  This time using grey as the cool colour.  I’m planning to make my nephew a quilt with these colours soon, so it was a good exercise in thinking about the combination.

Now, to work out how to post these on the Stitched in Color page.

So much to learn, so little time.
